Hope

I wondered everyday

What is a word to describe 

Hope in the best way

And it always struck my mind

Is hope a mystery?

As it can come in the weirdest ways

And become your life's lottery

But a mystery without a solution?

Is hope a surprise?

As it has no specific date

To come and arise

But a surprise which can go away?

And then i knew in my mind

The answer to this question 

I had to work out and find

But it wasnt just one word, there were several in my mind.

Hope is a change

Which helps you start your life

On a fresh new page

Hope is a power

And it comes at uncanny times

Like a hidden secret to uncover

Hope is a friend 

Who shall not be lost

If you want to have a smiling end
